E3 2014 – Steve’s Day One Top 10

Okay, so we don’t do lists here at NJoystic very often, but this was the easiest way for me to boil down all my excitement from yesterday’s four big conferences. These were the ten games that I was most excited for, though the list could easily be three times as long. Without further adu, and in no particular order, here’s my top 10 games from E3’s first day.

Bloodborne is the long awaited project from Demon Souls developer From Software. It also looks like it could be the version of The Order that I actually want to play. The short teaser showed off a gritty, creepy London-esque city (described as the ancient city of Yharnam, see below) crawling with brutal beasts and wicked monsters. Wielding a blade that can switch from scythe to sword as well as something that resembled a steampunk-inspired rifle, the protagonist seems more than capable of holding his own.

The YouTube trailer gives this brief description of the game:

Face your fears as you search for answers in the ancient city of Yharnam, now cursed with a strange endemic illness spreading through the streets like wildfire. Danger, death and madness lurk around every corner of this dark and horrific world, and you must discover its darkest secrets in order to survive.
